The statement is currently incorrect, but I now understand why. I do not see any great benefit by correcting the statement other than for the sake of accuracy.

I'm aware of the message, should the message be more specific and say that the user have hidden or password protected publications? Because we don't want to list the hidden publications, that would go against the idea of hiding a publication.

I think your suggestion is a good idea as not all members have private trees and a public one like I have.

Perhaps a list of the titles of the private trees without links could be usefull ?

Thank you, very helpful as always.

By the way, were you aware that when the user's reports are 'hidden' and/or 'password protected' that the following message is displayed on the profile page?

I put a link to the author public profile where the visitor can find a way to send him a message.

Hi, my site is not indexed by Google, and I understand I did not clarify the reason I think it should have an email contact on the password page.

I may change the password from time to time to exclude casual users, or users may forget the password following years when they had lost interest and now again want access. Many users are as forgetful as I am, and need to be reminded of the password each time they access the page. It is possible for the administrator of the site to have changed email addresses from one user's access to the next time.

It appears a straight forward addition to the page that would be of great  assistance, and no negatives.

If you site is password protected it will be removed from Google on their next update. The only way your files got included in the Google is during the time it was not protected.

Great idea, it's an essential requirement, and probably very easily implemented. This page needs an email icon directing visitors to the publisher.

Thank you for your replies...However, I should have been somewhat more specific:

When someone finds their name in a google search, for example: They click on their name, and it takes them to the url that is supposed to be my home page on GenoPro. However, I have password protected my home page. When the person clicks on their name, they are redirected to a screen that informs them that a password is required. It is here on this screen (http://familytrees.genopro.com/Password-Required.aspx?url=%2ftonyerin%2ftonyerin%2fdefault.htm ) that I wish to be able to provide an email address that someone can use to contact me for the password. I don't want people who stumble to my site through Google or another search engine to be discouraged from pursuing it, as these are the folks that usually have the most to offer as far as information goes once I make the connection. I however p/w protected the site to protect peoples' privacy. I still want a way for people to be able to get in contact with me. Thanks!
