Hi RonI've just found a very strange issue regarding to the switching pictures mechanism. I've generated a report when the "family details" are displayd within the individual page. if there are some pictures to the family, there is a way to switch between them
However, in a very strange way, there are some cases that the switching mechanism is not working. on other cases it works. What could be the problem? I'm sending you a GNO on a private post to review it Thanks

Hi Ron I've tried what ou have suggested but it's not working it's a very strange issue and I understand that this is a general issue and not just a problem on my report. Here is a link to an entire report so you could investigate this problem **** sent on a private post **** Please let me know if I can do anything else to help. I hope that you could solve the problem, and please let me know what changes to do to my skin report, because right now, I would say that it is not just a minor bug. Kobi

This is yet another of those annoying IE bugs/quirks. The report works fine with Firefox. I find it extremely frustrating that M$ still consider themselves a 'law unto themselves' and that they do not not have to toe the accepted standards line. If Firefox had a more efficient SVG engine I would certainly recommend that users ditch IE and switch to Firefox. During the GenoPro gamma development I intend to work on a better 'svg genomap' solution.I will continue to research this issue and see if a work-around can be found.

I also tried with Opera and the slideshow is also OK. Tonight I tried with IE7 and I didn't see any problem either. Strange! But, a few days ago, I installed IE8 Beta 1 and noticed (it was my mother Ind page): 1) the slideshow of the Fam photos didn't work 2) My father's photo didn't open in its central window either. I then clicked on the collapsed 'Children' heading (on the left of the Picts) and it seems to have triggered the code because everything was suddenly working. That is when the 'Children' section was expanded. The problem seems to be a clash/incompatibility in-between these left and right <divs>.For info to Ron: Did you try with this new IE8? Oops. It doesn't look bright. It's only beta 1, but: 1) clicking on a 'Most popular Name' didn't bring the name up in the LP index 2) some of the names in the LP index are looking rather boldiish and weirdish 3) the (or some of them as I don't exactly remember) timelines of the Ind pages didn't show up 4) some expand/collapse heading icons didn't also properly shown up When I noticed these, I didn't explore any further and quickly re-installed IE7. I am using IE7 on Vista, and I can confirm that your Family slideshows do not work when the Family details are shown as a subset of an Individual. When the Family details are shown separately, the slideshow works fine.Tried it on Firefox and everything is OK.

Having spent some considerable time googling with no result, and then yet more time testing and head scratching, I hopefully have a solution. I think it is a reincarnation of our old friend the IE guillotine bug, but this time chopping links and not images. The individual.htm skin template has the fix (simply adding a <span class='clear'></span> before the footnotes div. (The footnotes get moved to the bottom but they should have been at there anyway)Please try in a custom skin and let me know if it works Kobi.

I have noticed that this only happens when there is no time line displaying. I solved the problem by fabricating more data to force the time line to generate.Ian
