It means that sensitive data are protected, and all other data are available for general public. Living people are shown, too , but showing only data I choose to show. And all data is visible to people I authorise, besides collaborators.... I don't know. I want to avoid printing the report to pdf and e-mailing it to my relatives (that is what I currently do).
Is it possible to use e-adress for authorisation so only people I enter their e-adress can see sensitive data within their map? Or are those things mutually exclusive.
I am so excited with current version of program, and my relatives are gratefull, too! Thank you so much.
The answer for this solution is with the Privacy Wizard, yet to be implemented. A few years ago I spent months to create a privacy filter however it was difficult to use and confusing, so I removed it. Next time I address the privacy filter, it will be wizard-based with unlimited options such as excluding individuals by name, email, or whatever criteria. Those privacy filters will be stored in an XML file and you will be able to re-use them whatever you want to generate a report or before saving to disk before sending the file to someone else. I expect the collaboration module will allow an administrator to assign a privacy filter to an invited user to limit access to sensitive data.
The XML will have wildcards to exclude information. The fillowing privacy filter excludes anyone having a last name starting with M, and excludes anyone having a Hotmail email address. This way, you can produce a report excluding a whole family.
