I know what you mean. I had thought of suggesting an FAQ list at the top of the forum. This thought was prompted by your recent reply about printing a large genogram, a topic which turns up fairly frequently. Also we see last minute pleas from students who need to get in a project tomorrow (or yesterday from my knowledge of some students) Things like legend and labels are last minute thoughts.
Perhaps this could be a variation of the Genealogy Links list allowing people to add suggestions, including links to useful postings, such as your print note. It would need to be at the top of the list to catch people's eye before they start posting

It is quite difficult to see the wood for the trees on this forum. There is also a lot of historical dead wood that ought to be pruned out. Perhaps what is needed is an enthusiastic technical author to distill all the bits of information into a comprehensive 'How To' guide, or even a 'wiki' style GenoPro site where users could maintain the documentation themselves. dream on.

This was the subject of an earlier suggestion. Setting start and end date to the same value, e.g. 1835, gives the result you require.

The Contact tab date information includes Start Date & End Date, which is fine for recent contacts.
In family history you normally have point data, eg from census or parish registers. If you put this into Start Date the report will contain information such as 'He lived in Goldsmith Row from 1835'
This is not strictly correct as he could have been there the previous year. What is needed, where there is no End Date is 'He lived in Goldsmith Row in 1835'
At present you can get that sort of statement by leaving both Date fields blank and use the comment field to give the date information.
Any suggestions on where to change a skin where only one Date is known?
