I originally set up my own website on a spare server about a year and a half ago.  The site was on a non standard port like this example:

genealogy.mydomain.com:8052

I remember getting the API from google and I know it was working fine.

Last week that server crashed, so I pulled the files from my backup and put the whole thing on a new server. The new website has a different port -

genealogy.mydomain.com:8050

I didn't think the port mattered but I got the typical API error message.  So I went to google and generated a new key.  I looked in the root directory of the website and found config.xml and edited the API key.  When I restarted everything, I still got the API error.  I tried generating another key without the port number.  Same failure. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Is the config.xml in the right place?
