Hi,
concerning timeline, it can be handled via the
report generator
(you will see the timeline in the generated report, not in GenoPro). Searching the forum
about
'timeline' will bring up several posts, this may
help
you.
For dates BC is still not an
option
, as far as I know. See
What about negative dates (B.C.)

Hi Everyone,
I hope I'm posting this in the right
place
. I've been searching for some
genealogy software
that would help me with a huge project I have, yet none I could
find
seems to be able to do the trick. Hopefully GenoPro can though!
What I'm needing is to be able to have a
genealogy
timeline. At the top of the
page
would be a timeline. Then I'm wanting to have a genealogy "graph" I suppose, showing who fathered whom and so forth. However, the catch is that I'm wanting a line/bar representing their lifespan (and everything is accurate to the timeline at the top).
I suppose my best illustration would be as follows:
_________________timeline________________
|_____father________
|_________son___
|______grandson______
(Except the vertical lines stemming to each
person
, is leading from the parent, and also accurate to the timeline) And so on down the line, with of course multiple children and so forth in many cases.
The main point is not only to show the genealogy, but also Who lived during whose lifetime and during what time period and so forth.
I'm really hoping that this can be accomplished with GenoPro, because everywhere I look I hit a dead end and it looks bleak that I'd have to do such a thing by hand (and this spans over 70 generations), measuring to a T and everything!
One final breaking point though is this: the dates I'm needing to represent . . . cover BC and not just AD! (I noticed the features listed dates 0AD - 9999AD or something, but no BC
)
Can anyone let me know if GenoPro can do this? I'd greatly appreciate it and I Thank you in advance!
