Author Problem with deleting sources from a persons properties

Sorry - that's was me not thinking - it turned out that I hadn't removed the source from all the places I put it in. But when I did that - I could delete the source.

When I try to remove a source from a persons properties it disappeares. But when I close down the properties and open it again the source is still there.

Can you give me a step-by-step scenario?  I tried to remove a Birth Source by deleting its name and it worked fine.  When I opened the Birth tab, the source was gone.

I know I can remove it from the table layout but this particular one has two persons connected to it, and the other person is correct. I have several of those.
Can anyone please help me with this??
