Another way to transfer your data is to use Online Backup (assuming the laptop can access the internet). From the File menu select Online Backup and this will also avoid losing the data through PC problems.
The Online Backup contains a link to get the data back onto the other machine.

USB stick might be easy, but it does help having somewhere else to have a safe copy of your data. (Would not normally include pictures which are in a separate case)

When you purchase GenoPro, you purchase a software for yourself.  You are welcome to install GenoPro on all the computers you personally own.  You may therefore run GenoPro on your home desktop and your laptop using the same registration key.

To transfer your GenoPro files, just copy the .gno file(s) on a USB memory stick and copy the file(s) over to your laptop.  The other solution is to send you an email to yourself containing the .gno file(s).  You send the email from the old computer and you open your email from your laptop.

I purchased Genopro from my home computor.  I'm having some problems with that computer and would like to transfer Genopro to my laptop without purchasing it again and I'd like to transfer the family tree that I've already began for my school project. 

is this possible?
