I cut and pasted part of my entire tree into another tab within the tool. When I run the report generator and point to that partial tree, it generates the report okay with one exception. Although the report comes up and I seem to navigate through the report okay, when I look into the actual directory structure it contains all the htm and other generated files for my full tree. This is a problem since I cannot zip this up and provide to other people without privacy issues involved. Is there a workaround for this or what am I doing wrong.
Thanks. Erick

Why not copy and paste into a new file?

You may have overlooked that you can select just one genomap to create the report (instead of all). To select more than one is not possible at this stage.
May be Ron can have a look into this once in a while.

egriffin (3/2/2010) when I look into the actual directory structure it contains all the htm and other generated files for my full tree. Generating a report does not remove any pre-existing files in the output folder it simply overwrites any that are to be replaced. You must empty the folder first (or delete and recreate it) to avoid this situation.maru-sanTo select more than one is not possible at this stage. May be Ron can have a look into this once in a while. The cloning and subsetting of the genomaps is done by GenoPro as a preamble to the report generation and so any change here falls in Dan's lap.

egriffin,
If all the rest fails, you could try the FPS SelectGenoMaps tool announced in "Third Party Tools"
(Chrome seems to have problems with inserting URLs ...)

(Chrome seems to have problems with inserting URLs ...)
The problem doesn't occur with the 'url' function (ie no =), but you must remember to reinsert the '[' which gets deleted during the paste operation.

Tried this tool, but the only thing I can do is open your tool and load the created gedcom file after installing Visual Basic. It shows all the genomaps, but I can not selected any genomap. I am using Japanese Windows XP.

Did you click the [Generate File] button in [Tab 3]?Would it be possible for you to send me your GenoGram (.gno) file? I would like to see what happens.

Excellent Idea! Never thought of it and it in fact works!
Thanks for the suggestion.

WARNING - FPS SelectGenomaps 1.3 contains a bug related to improper handling of "CONT" (continuation) markers that are confused with "CONTACT" markers. The bug causes the program to crash but does not modify your GEDCOM file which is processed in read-only mode.
I'm looking into this right now and will post an update when fixed.
