Personally I have never felt a need to protect files on my own PC. However you could add this to the wish list of enhancements. As the basic GenoPro file is a zip file, which can be password protected, it might be a possible option.

thank you for answer. It is a pity that GenoPro have not a function to protect family tree file.
It is necessary to use other means for protection.
Thank you!

There is no option within GenoPro to create a password protected version on your own PC. The protection exists for reports on the web.
Have you considered using the Windows security? Using XP go to support and search
"To make your folders private". This might give you what you want.
