Not sure you are using the term
Emotional relationship
in the way GenoPro is designed, where there are two types -
Family
and Emotional. If I guess correctly you can use the standard Family features to describe relationships of the disciple. This may be a
marriage
or some alternative arrangement.
A right click on an
individual
opens a menu where the fourth
option
is Emotional Relationship. This allows you to
link
individuals using a variety of line styles, which do have names attached to them defining a relationship. However there is no reason why you can not use a line and have your own personal definition. I use the green hatched line,'Best Friends/Very Close' to link individuals baptised on the same day.

You can use any of the lines available in the drop-down choices on the Relation box under Family Properties, and then annotate the line by using the Display Text box. Alternatively, redefine the line by inserting the
Family Relationships
Legend
(right-click on an empty part of the
GenoMap
) and change the description. The colour of any of the lines can also be changed on the Family Properties
page
.

Is there a way to redefine what type of line means what type of emotional relationship? Presently in GenoPro, a solid black line indicates a Marriage. I am making a
tree
that describes chiefly mentor-disciple relationships. However, I am also inserting marriages and children where such sparse
information
is available. Hence, I would rather have the solid back line define a mentor-disciple relationship and have some other variation define a marriage. Is it possible to make such changes?
