I have reported elsewhere the 'feature' in Google Chrome browser that considers files accessed locally on your PC not to be of the 'same origin' when accessed directly (e.g. as launched by GenoPro after report generation completed or when you open/double click a .htm file from Windows Explorer).  For example you can see an error in Chrome's javascript console such as
Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL file:///D:/Users/Public/GenoPro%20Reports/HarryPotter/default.htm from frame with URLfile:///D:/Users/Public/GenoPro%20Reports/HarryPotter/toc_individuals.htm. Domains, protocols and ports must match.
when attempting to 'close' the name index.

In my opinion 'Domains, protocols and ports' DO MATCH here. the domain and port is null (hence the ///) and the protocol is 'file:' for both files.

This problem does not occur with any other browser and does not occur with Chrome when exactly the same files are accessed via HTTP protocol, e.g. via a 'personal' or local web server.

At present the developers of Chrome do not feel this is causing sufficient hardship to users to warrant changing this 'feature'. I suspect apathy in reporting the problems, users will simply move to a different browser if they find problems.

I am asking all GenoPro users who look at their Narrative Reports locally on their PCs rather than via a website to register their interest in getting this issue resolved as Chrome is otherwise excellent.

Please flag this issue at http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=47416 by clicking the star on the left of the title, turning it yellow.
