When I add Parents the program adds a second set of children instead of connecting to the children already added to the genogram.

To add parents, select an existing
individual
and press the keyboard key
P
. To add a child, do the same, by using the key
S
for adding a son and
D
for a daughter. You may grow your
family tree
in either directions.

I
started
the
genogram
with my immediate
family
and am working backwards. When I add a
family member
it only asks for spouse and children. When I add their parents it does not connect the child already generated but adds another one without spouse or child
information
. Is this happening because I am trying to work backward? What am I doing wrong. I could not
find
a post or
tutorial
to
address
this issue.
Thanks!
