The Descendant Tree Chart report does not use init.htm and its Config.xml file is only 125 lines long. 
May be you have placed the Config.xml from the Narrative Report in the wrong folder?

You were right, as always  . After extracting the correct Config.xml file I reproduced the report and got following msg's:

The finnish word "epäonnistui!" in the previous listing, translated into english = Failed!.Does these msg's mean that I should copy these files into Dictionary.xml file, somewhere, where? Or what should I do? Best wishes, Jarmo

Hi Jarmo,Yes if you wish to use your Finnish Dictionary.xml from the Narrative Report with the Descendants Tree Chart Report then you will need to copy those missing Dictionary entries from the Dictionary.xml file provided with the Descendants Tree Chart into your Finnish Dictionary.xml and translate them to Finnish if required.

Thanks for your excellent support and very clead advise what to do. Is there any plans of harmonizing Dictionary.xml files to be suitable for all reports ie. narrative, descendant tree, descendant report, etc.?
I've got two other challenges which I've stared a long time (already before I sent you the previous error lines) without understanding what sould I do, namely:
"Generating report on descendants of Elviira Saksi (Nikkanen)
[10.07] Virhe lauseessa WritePhrase - Mallissa '{2}{3}[ {1}][ suoritti[{?!5} {8}][{!} {4}][ {5}]][[{?4|5} ja] todisti {6}].' ei ole riittävästi argumentteja. Argumentti {8} on alueen ulkopuolella."
The system is saying (freely translated from finnish) here that;
"WritePhrase- In Modell '{2}{3}[ {1}][ suoritti[{?!5} {8}][{!} {4}][ {5}]][[{?4|5} ja] todisti {6}].' there are not sufficient arguments. Argument {8} is outside area."
There is another as well:
[11.20] Virhe lauseessa WritePhrase - Mallissa '[{?3|4|5|6}[{?1|2|8|9|10} ja {!11}][{!}{!13}] {!12!=kaste}[{?3|4} tapahtui[{?7}[{?4}[{?2} ]]][{3}][{?!7}{4}]][[{?!3|4} oli] suoritti [{?6}{5} ][{!}{15}]{6}]]' ei ole riittävästi argumentteja. Argumentti {15} on alueen ulkopuolella.

Hi Jarmo,I think you are trying to confuse me by switching from the Descendants Tree Chart to the Descendants Narrative Report! Looks like you are using an earlier version of the skin with a later version of the Dictionary.xml file. Whilst I try to make the report skins backwards compatible with earlier Dictionary files I am not clairvoyant so am unable to make them forwards compatible with later versions of the Dictionary.  |

I tried to make a link to DescendatTree.htm (see below, the 2nd line) from an other html file but the IE doesn't open the link?

Hi Jarmo,
the files for the Descendants Tree Chart are created in a folder 'descendants' below the folder you choose for the report output. Therefore if you choose the same folder as the Narrative Report then the correct relative path is
descendants/DescendantTree.htm?tree= name-id.xml The descendants folder in your link seems to have been replaced by raportit and in your image I cannot see the '.' before 'xml'.

Hi Ron,
Thanks for you quick reply. I've copied the files, the Descendants Tree Chart report produces ( DescendantTree.htm, Saksi-Elviira-ind02033.htm, Saksi-Elviira-ind02033.xml ), into Report folder. The folder structure is as follows: 'Kotisivu / Raportit'. Index. html (this is where my code line comes from) which calls Descendants Tree Chart files is located in 'Kotisivu' folder.
Should I create these three (3) files directly, with the Descendants Tree Chart report, into this 'Raportit' folder and not to copy from?
Bad font selection of me (it really doesn't clearly show all characters) but there is '.' before 'xml' - the actual line is as follows;
