Hi all,

I have upgraded to the latest GenoPro 2011 version recently and I love it. But I have a problem with the pictures.

When I generate a Narrative HTML Report, pictures show correctly in the web pages, but they don't appear in my Descendants Reports. I have checked/unchecked the Pictures boxes in Options tab without success. All my images are on a local disk.

I use MS Word 2003 for the report. After some tweaking (such as saving after 6 pages), it now goes fine except for the pictures. Is this the kind of problem that would be solved by using Open Office instead? Or is it simply that pictures are not included in the default skin?

Thanks for giving me a clue.

Chantal

I think Chantal is asking about the Descendants 'Narrative' Report in Word or OpenOffice format, not the Descendants Tree Chart.

The version built in to GenoPro (my latest version) does not include pictures in the report. Some three years back EDilena did produce a version for Word only that included pictures. The last version I can find on the forum is here. I am not sure if that is still a working version or whether a later version was produced.

I did intend to incorporate this feature into the standard report but unfortunately was unable to add the code to the OpenOffice routines and decided therefore to leave it as it was.

You are right Grand Master,

Too bad there is no picture included in the current skin. I will try to print from an older version of Genopro instead, there used to be a text report function that printed the pictures.

Thanks for the quick reply,

Chantal

Would be nice if you could share this skin (descendant report w/pictures) with all other Genopro users.

I would definetely be a frequent user of this skin, even if it works on MS Word only.

Reason: Printing a report with pictures is the only way elders who know my family history can read descriptions, identify people and verify all geneology data that was gathered in GenoPro. And the page layout facilitates the reading.

Or is there another way to print data, including all pictures, from a web site? I mean with a nice page layout?
