Hello,
There is a "Select One Generation" button in the
toolbar
and its
translation
is "一代" for Traditional Chinese. And it is the common translation for generation.
However, I found that if I press this button on a selected idividual, there will be 3 levels of nodes in the
genealogy
tree
get selected. In this case I tend to use translation,"選取三代" (select 3 generations), for this button.
By the way, how many
years
does one generation equal? Does it long enought to include 3 levels in the genealogy tree in the US or UK?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
shortie

Hi, in Genopro one generation means the direct ancestors, descendants,
siblings
and spouses of the selected
individual
(so parents, children, brother, sister,
wife
/husband). Spouse of the brother, for example, is not in this list, neither the children of the brother.
The selection includes not only the individuals but the related
marriage
lines lines as well.
btw pressing the same button again will extend the number of individuals/generations selected.
