Author I cannot figure how to make myself the index person.

The "Index Person" is also known as the "Focused Subject".  This term is used when building genograms to indicate the primary individual of the genogram (an analogy would be the primary actor of a movie)

Not sure what you mean by indexed person as all have an index. If you select on screen a person you can press 'P' on the keyboard which will add parents. Click on either to add details.

When a person is selected a right click will open a menu giving access to a range of features. F1 will bring up online help

I am having trouble with the whole genogram process. Specifically, I cannot figure how to make myself the index person. How do I get to the second circle? Next how do I add family members passed my immediate family? For instance what draws the lines? Thanks so much.
