Problem solved.  Computer date was set to 2002. Correcting to 2011 solved issue.

Thanks anyway!

Jim

Hi,

My laptop's in for repair so I've booted up the old desktop and am trying to update it to the latest version of GenoPro, however whenever I put in my registration code it says it is not valid.

On first start up it after updating, it brings up the 'GenoPro Registration Wizard', my registration key is already entered in the text box, I select the option and click next and it says:

'The registration key '[MY KEY]' is not valid.  To avoid typos, simply Copy and Paste the registration key from the e-mail you received from GenoPro.  Would you like to continue with this registration key.'

Going back through the archive versions, it seems to accept my code in any 2007 versions but none of the 2011 versions - despite them all running fine on the laptop that is in for repair.

The key is registered to my e-mail address jim (at) shastrix (dot) com.

Grateful for any ideas!

Jim

Thanks for your feedback.  Indeed, since there are many cracked keys out there, we validate the date the registration key was created with the system date.  The requirement is the date on the registration key must be smaller than the date of the computer.  This simple check removes about 80% of generated keys by third party applications (keygen).
