I asked this question before and recieved an answer, however it was not clear to me and I deleted each and every part of the legend individually. 

I am in this situation, yet again and need help.  How do I remove the legend from the genogram more efficiently?

Just select the legend and use the button Delete on your keyboard.  You may select the entire legend at once, by left-clicking outside the legend, and drag the mouse so the blue square includes the whole legend.  When you release the mouse, you should see blue handles around every legend components.  Just hit Del on the keyboard and all the selected objects will be deleted.
