The Contact Author mechanism only works for publication on familytrees.genopro.com because we know who publish it. If you publish it elsewhere better put your email because the contact author methods wont work!

Looks like I missed this comment and line of script when moving the title from heading.htm to home.htm

' Provide a mechanism for the viewer to contact the author of the report.  This contact mechanism is only available if
' the report is published to http://familytrees.genopro.com/
fContactAuthor = (Left(ReportGenerator.PathOutputHttp, 31) = "http://familytrees.genopro.com/")

I will add it to home.htm and test for the next release

I managed to make it work by modifying the home.htm file and removing the IF clause linked to the "fContactAuthor" function/parameter.

The original code
<h1 class="heading" style="margin-top:5px">
<%[Report.WriteText strTitle If (fContactAuthor) Then]%>
<a href="http://familytrees.genopro.com/Contact-Author.aspx" [...] ></a>
<%[End If]%></h1>

was replaced by
<h1 class="heading" style="margin-top:5px">
<%[Report.WriteText strTitle]%>
<a href= "http://familytrees.genopro.com/Contact-Author.aspx" [...] ></a>
</h1>

and works OK now (in my case).

But of course, I would prefer an official, supported solution consisting of an answer to my initial question regarding what is controlling the ContactAuthor function.

What parameter, if any, is controlling the ContactAuthor function?

It appears that the function is conditional but since the code was moved to home.htm, the envelope no longer shows on my (new) home page.  Hence, I presume something else must have changed also.

I see it still works on other people's home pages.
