.... what you mean by "But the frame 'heading', without any title, its seems son of N.N.'

I prefer that the title remains in the file heading.htm, otherwise it seems to me that all the reports is anonymous.
So I brought the report title from the home.htm file, to the file heading.htm, leaving the frame size to 80 pixels:

with: <h1 class="heading" style="margin-top:-5px">Icon and Title</h1>

with: <h1 class="heading" style="margin-top:-15px">Title</h1><h3 style="margin-top:-15px">Menu</h3>

&#160; solves this problem.

And about frames. It depens on the browser:
  • Chrome - ok fo all cases
  • Firefox - not ok for the home page only, the white line, other pages work perfectly, why?
  • Opera - not ok for the home page, but no white line
I would like to have both - valid pages and noresizable frames Wink In the best case not to use frames and framesets and all do with xhtml and css only.

I can see the problem with ConfigMsg &#32;   It is due to the merge process. When read from ConfigMsgCS.xml &#32; gets converted to a space and written to the parsed copy of ConfigMsgEN.xml but it is then an ordinary trailing space and gets stripped off by the parser. Crying  The solution is to use the non-breaking space entity &#160; instead of &#32; as this does not get stripped by the parser.,

Regarding frame borders, it seems the only way to remove borders is to sert framespaceing="0" and border="0" on the frameset.

In order to ensure default.htm validates I have not set these directly but have instead used an 'onload' script to set these attributes via javascript. This leads to a 'bounce' where the white border appears and then gets removed as the script kicks in.  However with Firefox the script seems to fire late and the redraw doesn't happen.

But any other action, e.g. displaying an index, causes a frame redraw and all is then OK.

So the choice is: if you want the page to validate then put up this this issue, otherwise add the attributes directly to the frameset tag. Hehe

Maybe I could force a redraw somehow but is it really worth it?

I have &#32; in <CommentSkinVersion>, but no space in Report Log.

2 and 3 is ok.

There is a white line in Firefox 7 by clicking on Home icon and resizable, even if Always hide borders is set to hide. Please see the picture:

Thank you all once again for testing the latest skin and providing the feedback.  Hopefully 2011.11.07 addresses the issues raised.

The space in the Report Log message regarding config.xml skin version comes from the ConfigMsgXX.xml tag <CommentSkinVersion>  The numeric entity &#32; is important as it provides that space character.

Vittorino, could you please explain what you mean by "But the frame 'heading', without any title, its seems son of N.N.'

Powery Regarding your point 4. The help page is intended to be a 'help getting started' introduction to the report and not an in-depth help file.  I think it is only necessary to explain the most important menu icons/items.  And as for your point 5, I have just realised I have not looked into yet, and so I work on that next.

Update 'Always hide borders' seems to be working for me. Are you sure it is not a cache issue?

Add another thing:
in all menu, missing a space between "map" and "events".

(But the frame "heading", without any title, it seems son of N.N.)

1. Yes, there is still no space...

6. Dictionary/FmtHtmlHelpSvg - can not correct to translate 'twin/nieces' - only 9 letters are displayed in this place:
