Is there a way to introduce a color when building a tree.  I have so many overlapping family lines that in some cases, it's difficult to trace ancestors.  If I could color a line it would be so much easier.  I notice that on this form there is a choice of color.

In many cases a colour is used for a purpose to define the type of line. For instance an adopted child vertical line becomes blue as default. However if you want to change to your own colour scheme then select a line and open its property menu and use your own colour. Do not think this can be set as a default but sometimes if you select a group you can change properties for all of them. Do not think this works for lines but would for gender symbols. So you could select a particular family and have a different colour gender symbol or border or border colour.
However it is usualy possible to arrange family trees so overlap is not a problem by splitting and using hyperlinks. This means part of the family can either be on a different display (genomap) or on the same display if preferred. Select an individual and press key 'H' and a hyperlinked copy is made. Move to the side and develop a sub tree there
