When I try to open an existing GNO file, I receive the error :

Cannot import text, format unknown to Genopro

I am new to Genopro, using version 2.5.4.1. The file I want to open may have been generated with an older version.
How about upward compatibility?

Would appreciate any idea on how I can solve the problem.

Cheers -  Rainer

Possibly the file has been corrupted.
Try making a copy of the file and then rename it as a zip file. Then try to open the zip file. If it is a recent GenoPro file it will show which verion is used. GenoPro will import old versions of .GNO files, or give instructions on how to retrieve it. That is why I suspect it is corrupted, possibly the end is missing

Feel free to send the file to service at genopro dot com and I will try to open it and send you back a .gno file in the latest file format.

The file I received contains only zeroes (nulls).  A corrupted file contains ones and zeroes, however this file is like a "blank" file created by another application, or something that went wrong with the storage device (hard disk, flash disk, USB memory stick).
