I have hit a problem when deleting
places
from the
table layout
. After it happened twice I restarted the PC in case it is a memory or resources problem.
The file has 3400
individuals
and 478 places. I am setting up better parent places and then deleting duplicates. To do this I open the table and identify a location without parent, such as 'Guildford, Surrey'. I then open a dummy individual
birth tab
and add this location; Ctrl+E to open the edit menu and add the parent (here Surrey). Then edit this location to read just Guildford. I repeat this process several times before removing duplicates
Open Table Layout/Places/Delete and select Guildford, Surrey and delete it, replacing with the location Guildford. I can repeat this replacement several times but then GenoPro crashes.
One possible problem is that some of the locations may be part of a long chain: Country; county; town; district; street

Can you please
send
me a sample file and step-by-step to reproduce the crash. Running GenoPro under a debugger will
help
me to pinpoint the bug and fix it. Thanks.
