Getting data from different censuses can chart change of address and occupation. To track this GenoPro can enter dates and also sources. PAF will add source date for these, using EVEN tags and SOUR where information exists. Using the latest Export to Gedcom skin this information is not picked up. I think only one Source is picked up, probably the one from the Sources tab of the individual Properties. Is it possible to enhance the skin in this way? At present there can be several occupations and contacts for an individual but (I think) no way to tell from the gedcom how they relate

I am unsure as to what exactly is being asked for regarding an 'Export to Gedcom' skin enhancement. The current skin does export source information when present for each GenoPro occupation and contact/occupancy record.
On examination of the script I noted that it does not export source information associated with GenoPro Place objects. I will enhance the skin to include this but I am actually puzzled by what is meant by a source of a place in the GenoPro context. Maybe the discoverer of some remote third world place maybe . A Gedcom PLAC is subordinate to an event and so a SOUR subordinate to a PLAC tag is specific to that event. With GenoPro Places are global in scope and a specific place can be associated with any event (marriage, baptism, occupation, education etc.) and so a Place's source is also global in scope.
If you are expecting to be able import multiple occupations and contact/occupancy data per individual into GenoPro via Gedcom then you will be disappointed because sadly the GenoPro Gedcom import routine is broken when multiple occurences of tags are present, be they OCCU, EDUC, RESI, SOUR oe EVEN to name a few. I have reported on this several times on this forum. Multiple occupations, education episodes and occupancies can only be created by manual input.
This for me is a massive GenoPro bug that has never been addressed and means that Gedcom data cannot be reliably imported.

Ron I am trying to develop a one name study making particular use of census data. I had hoped that GenoPro would have had the collaborative version available but have decided to use webtrees. This explains my interest in gedcom import/export. I knew there are limitations in GenoPro import but on balance the ability to add a large number of families relatively easily makes it worth using. For one census result there is no confusion about occupation or residence (contact). Within GenoPro you can add extra information by clicking the 'New' box and again no confusion. You can add date and source to identify the sequence but this is not needed. However for gedcom export you need to distinguish between these. When I first tried this GenoPro export there was only one source. This seems to be a GenoPro limitation. There were different sources listed on the Contact and Occupation pages but on the main page the Source tab only showed one source. Adding the second Source in the main tab allowed the export to list both sources. As PAF can be regarded as the standard I have produced an export showing the sort of output I think will be needed which uses the SOUR tag to identify the origin of the OCCU data and the RESI/PLAC. As my gedcom import places the source under the BIRT tag I originally thought of trying to extend either the toolkit or gedcom export but as my experience of Java (language that is) is nil I have decided to stick to Basics. I will try to add SOUR tags where needed using the information from birth data. webtrees has a Merge which is probably a better alternative to GenMerge or similar
I have pasted 3 versions of gedcom export The first column being before addition to Source tab; the last being PAF version

I am puzzled. The with the latest export to Gedcom skin (2012.12.19 as per our previous discussion Missing Tags in Gedcom Export) any Source for Occupation or Occupancy/Contact does get output correctly,. previously only Occupation and Occupancy/Contact 'Sources' were exported. I have now updated the main post Latest 'Export to Gedcom' skin with with 2012.12.19 plus a further mod for the missing Place 'Sources'.
Here is the export from the attached .gno which is virtually identical to your PAF gedcom.

Whilst testing this I noticed a couple more GenoPro bugs that I will create separate posts for.

Ron Thanks for new gedcom export skin. It produces the output that I would need. Only problem is the one you mentioned. When you import the output back into GenoPro the source data for occupation and contact is stripped out. This means that I can not continue developing the project unless this is fixed, or the often requested merge facility is developed. I can not see that the merge is a likely possibility so need to raise the gedcom import again.
