Still using XP but presumably updates have introduced higher level of security. In the past this has not been a problem and other skins (eg Customoized Export to gedcom) will load configuration IE page and complete.
With the Toolkit the IE page loads but with the IE warning it has restricred the 'webpage' from running ActiveX controls. If you 'Click here for option...' you see a menu option to 'Allow Blocked Content' and when you click 'Yes' the configuration page goes but the log shows
[0.00] Processing template 'Toolkit.js'... Permission denied Cancelled by user request
I have had a look at IE configuration options and guess that a tweak here might get round this problem. Any suggestions on how to get this reunning?

I have gone back to running XP on my NetBook after much frustration over the speed and hangups of W7.
I can run the Toolkit OK without any special IE settings. Could you try loading IE and then under its Tool/Internet Options Security tab cleck 'set all zones to default'. I have just done this on mine and the toolkit still runs. Reload GenoPro after changing settings. At some future time I will convert the Toolkit to use the IE HTA tabbed interface that the others now use. This uses a different security model and is also much quicker to load.

Tried setting security to lowest possible level and get same result. XP has all latest updates and IE is version 8. The screen I get shows this and when I accept the security warning the process ie terminated. Get same effect on laptop. Could this be anything from AVG?

As a temporary fix is it possible to edit the file to force a conversion of RESI to Occupation?

I assume you meant occupancy not occupation. It would be quite complex to achieve this via and edit. The Contact/Occupancy record associated Place record must also be created as well as linking the Contact to the Individual.
I suppose AVG may be forcing the IE security settings high, Have you tried uninstalling AVG for a time? Also check that you have the top two settings on under the the Advanced tab of IE8 Tools/Internet Options. e.g.

Thanks for solution. I had checked the Security tab but not found Security under Advanced. I suppose there is a reason to have Security in two places. Security perhaps? Disabling AVG had not helped
