Hi all,
I am looking for a solution to
print
out a
genealogy
tree
which I created in genopro for a certain date.
I created the tree for my fathers 90th birthday which is in 2 weeks and I want the dates be printed which are valid on this date.
Is there a setting for this in Genoppro?
Thanks in advance
Christoph

I presume by dates you mean the ages displayed in the
gender symbols
.
The
reference date
for each genomap within your .gno file can be changed as follows:
Right click on a blank area of the genomap and then click 'Properties' at the end of the displayed context menu to display the document properties dialog.
You can then enter the reference date in the column e.g.
Displayed ages will then be relative to the date entered.

This is a very nice little feature. However, for my purposes (genealogies of mythological figures), unless I assume the use of a "creation date"
calendar
such as the Byzantine Etos Kosmou, it doesn't
help
without the ability to work directly and in full with negative year numbers, and without being able to tell the program that I'm doing this, it will foul up leap years in its calculations. I would love to see the program support both Byzantine and old Roman (AUC, anno urbis conditae) year counts, not to mention the Chinese, Jewish, Hindu, and Islamic year counting methods.
