Hi, all.

I'm working with a fairly large genogram (over 3000 individuals) on a system running Windows 7 on 16 GB RAM. I'm posting this right up front because I suspect it may simply be a memory limitation issue.

The specific problem is that a new individual I have added to the genogram as both a child and a spouse is not displaying the spousal relationship details correctly on mouseover. When I hover over the spousal relationship I see "Apollo and Partner" instead of "Apollo and Celaeno"; this is irritating to my OCD, as well as to my desire to use relationship lines to track positions of individuals.

Is there a way to turn all pop-up mouseover text off entirely, to save memory usage? I find it very useful, but I can get the same information by using "<rt-click>->Select->Parents"... and I've already looked into upgrading the memory on my system, and it won't go any higher, and until I'm re-employed, there's no money to replace the system.

Splitting the genogram isn't an option at this point; I have less than a hundred more people to add, and the genealogy (Greek myth) is so entangled that any splitting will have at least two dozen links. Besides, having the entire genealogy on one chart was the motivation for this project in the first place. And yes, I know others have done this in published form; they have been my primary references, but their presentation has also been lacking in ways that I can easily work around with GenoPro.

Thanks!

Figured it out. Apparently, for some reason, the Full Name field in the problem individual didn't auto-populate, or I managed to delete its contents somehow. Fixed. Everything seems to be working fine. Blush

It concerns me that in the two hours between my previous posts, there was exactly ONE other post in the entire forum. This community is dying, and I don't know what to suggest to save it other than a new version of the software. Anyway, I'm sticking around, because this program has given me excellent value for my money and even if it doesn't do EVERYTHING I want, it does more than a lot of other more expensive software on the market.

EDIT: And it turns out, that one other post was by me. I'd forgotten about that one. Hehe
