Your tree would have been created on your old PC with a name such as MyFamily.gno; the important bit being the .gno suffix. If you can find that then all you need to do is copy it and put it on your new computer. If you can still access the original then the File menu on GenoPro has its own Find link to search a computer for these files.

If you have created a report on a different computer this will normally also contain both a .gno and .ged file which contain the basic information.

In either case this will only give you the genogram. If you added other information, such as pictures, this will have to be found separately.

Final point is that I always try to remember to make a backup of all data on a separate device (memory stick or cloud) as hard discs on a computer will fail eventually and if you are unlucky it could be after a short while.

Hello:

In my case I lost my PC, but I had a backup into genopro cloud as far as I know. After reinstalling Genopro in my new PC, I cannot find the backup into Genopro.

What can I do? How can I find it?

Many thanks,

Have you tried to use the main file menu and in the drop down menu, above 'Find', is 'Open Inbox and Online Backups...'
