I would like to show descendant's using forked lines rather than individual lines. At one point I was able to do that. However updating with new people, I no longer seem to be able to create that type of linkage.

The attachment shows what I am trying to say.

Please excuse the typo in the image.Ermm

To misquote Abraham Lincoln; You can please all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot please all the people all the time.
Personally I prefer the non forked display as it takes less space. In addition I use the vertical axis to show dates. So using your example I would start
http://support.genopro.com/Uploads/Images/f65261e5-ad01-4b02-ae05-eb25.jpg
Add a mate for Serge and move the line down to show the marriage is after the birth of the first children. (Also add data about end of first marriage)
As soon as you adjust the position of Diane the link to Serge is completed.
Then add children, either to Diane or the marriage line.

Now create the fork base. Select the marriage line and place the cursor over the central blue square. Make sure the cursor is a vertical line, not a cross. Then drag the cursor down, the shape changing to a horizontal bar. Result to look like the second image
The final result will look like this. The fork does not show much as it is near the marriage line, which is why I prefer not to attempt it. Point is the facility is still there and somebody who also uses it may be able to show an easier way to get it - as long as they do not change he program into a way I do not want

Select the family and then use Tools/AutoArrange Selection.
(I do not use it).

Yes, thank you. The middle square was the answer.

Yes, thanks. I see why you don't use it. Tested it and the result was not great.

AutoArrange should do the arrangement from the second post (optionaly). It's a new suggestion for GenoProX Wish List.
