Author The list of children in the properties of a family should be hyperlinked to the individual objects.

This is something that I would have loved to see done several versions ago, but I'm guessing that there were reasons why it hasn't been done up to this point.

Clicking on a row in the list of a family's children should select that person in the GenoMap. Sometimes, especially in large trees and families with large numbers of children, children can end up widely separated from their parents.

I love the idea of the "Locate" icon too... and if you're afraid of the side effects of the original idea, I'm not sure I want to know what they are... but my curiosity has always won out in the past. Smile While we're talking about finding things, having a "replace" option in the text search would be very nice. Normally it's not something that would be necessary in a genealogy program because of the nature of the data, but being able to correct all instances of a misspelled family name without repeated "Paste" operations would probably make life easier for a few of us... although I'm hoping I have found and corrected all such errors in my genealogies.

Edit: Another related thing that occurs to me: If the children get linked in the family properties, it seems to me to make sense to hyperlink the list of children in the individual properties too... I guess the question there is, are the side effects going to be better or worse if you do both? Smile
