using latest version of genoro and recently upgraded windows from 7 to 10
when I generated reports before - it would skip files that have not changed, now it generated each file each time again
is there a setting for this ?
when editing a person : pictures pages :if I clicked on picture it would display the picture in large format - now only a very small window with the picture is displayed
any setting for this ?
thanks for all update
best regards, Guy Przytula

As far as I know the Report Generator still checks for duplicate files before copying to the destination folder. Indeed I have just republished my 'HarryPotter' report on familytrees  http://familytrees.genopro.com/genome/HarryPotter/default.htm and the footer on individual pages shows the correct date for when it was last created/updated.

As for pictures, the Narrative Report uses a 'lightbox' style to display the pictures when a thumbnail image is clicked and the size is adjusted to fit the available screen size, but this is only ever downsizing from the original if required, the original is never 'upscaled' to fit the space. Are your original pictures of the correct size? If the picture is larger than the available screen space, then right click on the 'lightbox' image (not thumbnail image) and choose 'show image in a new tab' (using Chrome as browser, other browsers may differ).

Please supply a sample .gno and a test report on familytrees for any further assistance.

thanks for the update
when generating reports before : it would be much faster because it would only generate pages that are changed
now each page is generated always
it would indicate : x pages changed y pages skipped
the problem with pictures is in the user interface not in the report : see attachment
thanks for the update

I wonder if previously you had the  Generate Report - Options - Output Files -  'Resume Report' set?

I think this is the only time I have seen skipped files mentioned in the log e.g.

Generated 355 pages (356 pages skipped) in 44.391 seconds
average performance of 8.00 pages per second

It will be preceded earlier by the message

The option 'Resume / Update Report' is enabled - any existing output file will be skipped!

In this case only new pages will be written, other pages will not be updated even if the data has changed therefore this option is of limited use.

Ordinarily without this option GenoPro compares file checksums of existing pages before uploading pages and only uploads changed/new pages and the summary line in the log indicates this

Generated 355 pages (293 pages unchanged, 62 pages written) in 39.125 seconds
average performance of 9.07 pages per second

In neither case does GenoPro delete old pages e.g. for individuals deleted from the .gno.
