For the past 3 weeks, I have been updating my family tree with obits that I accumulated. I find the death tab very limiting.

The funeral section I don't like. If you make an error in the Funeral Agency's name and save, you cannot delete it. Even when you fix the name and save, the incorrect name stays in the "drop down list".

Also, it would be nice to be able to insert details about the funeral homes under the "Funeral Agency" then the "Place of Funeral" area.

A section for the mass (date, church name, address...) would be great to have.

I mentioned in an earlier post for an area to put the picture of the headstone.

I have noticed this in other such fields (place of birth, place of death)... but what I found was that the list is updated after you save and close the properties of the object you're editing, and if you have the same data elsewhere, then it will stay in the list. I had a number of Icelandic place names with "incorrect" (English-language) spellings in my Icelandic ancestors genogram, and I had to correct every single occurrence before the incorrect version disappeared from the drop-down list.

There are some bugs when deleting the data.  The internal database of GenoPro was never designed to handle such special cases and was a bit hacked to make it work.

I added your suggestions to our feature list.  Thanks for writing.

If I could add.
When researching births for example I find the birth dates can differ between Church Records and Civil Registration Records. I can appreciate this, given that many of our ancestors could not read, write nor know their ages. It might be helpful to have the ability to enter both  with a tick box to select the displayed preference.
Here in Ireland we've been given free access to BDM civil registration records online covering the period when civil registration started (1864 aprox) up to about 1922 for births and further for Marriage and Death records. its providing lots of screen time for me and many others...

Hi,

As a psychologist I might need other precisions about
- death reasons, and
- deseases

But I haven't found them in the forum so far.

Here, some suggestions:
- Death
  - violent
    - stabbing
    - shot
    - suicide
     - drug
     - knife
     - hanging
     - jump
     - OD
    - fight
    - cancer
  - quiet
   - age
   - cancer
  - by desease

- Desease
  - mental condition (see DSM)
  - addiction
   - cocaine/heroin/alcohol/XTC/marijuana/speed/meth/...
     - still
     - formerly
     - light/controlled/heavy/uncontrolled/dangerous

How would you implement that?
And, could you make the use of colours easier/more explained (for the individuals and the links between them)?

Many thanks,
