When I create a single parent, I resize the redundant spouse line so it's small enough you can't really see it. (Left side of image)

The problem is, if I move either the parent or child individually, the spouse line automatically resizes and snaps back into view. (Right side of image)

It is... really annoying having to constantly resize and hide it. Is there a way to stop this line from reappearing? Or to delete it altogether without also deleting the connection between parent and child?

The only suggestion I can think of is to set pedigree link and family line colour to white and create a Social Relationship, without arrowheads and styled as required, between parent and child to visually represent the pedigree link. The family line and pedigree links remain in place but are not visible.  The RHS below shows how it looks when parent is moved.
