Hello, I would like to know if there is a way to represent a relation of overprotection for instance of a mother or father towards the son or daughter.

As always there are options you could choose.
If you select the parent and press key R then a line appears which you can connect to the second person. If you click on this line to edit you can change the line colour to make it distinctive (?red) and also select a type of 'Social Connection / Activity' such as 'Manager of'. Text can be added in the box and when the cursor is placed over the red line on the display the hovertip will show this information

Thank you appleshaw for the solution, I have tried it and works exactly as you describe. The problem is that I export the genogram to use it in a word document, and I would need a way to visualise the meaning of the arrow directly in the image. I tried adding a text box but haven't find a way to rotate it to align the box with the arrow.
