It is probably something basic that I'm not doing correctly.

Firstly, though:

I have GenoPro 2020 3.1.0.1
Narrative Report version 2020.03.13 (unzipped from Skins2020.08.29.zip)
I downloaded (for the first time today) the wkhtmltopdf program - having used Inkscape previously.

The following is what I see on my screen. Any advice would be truly appreciated.

Your post doesn't show or state what the actual error was but when I tried to test PDF conversion I saw errors relating to the cover page image

I haven't worked on the PDF conversion option for some years and it appears to have 'fallen into disrepair' UnsureBlush

I had a fix for the cover image issue but there appears to be other problems with fonts and styling. Hopefully I will get time to look further into this next week and hopefully find a solution.

Thank you @genome.

I downloaded the new skins zipped file and uncompressed the files.

To recap, I have:
GenoPro 2020 3.1.0.1
EN Narrative Report version 2020.03.13 (unzipped from Skins2020.10.25.zip)
EN Dict version 2020.03.13
Narrative Commons Scripts version 2020.04.09

I checked the path for the wkhtmltopdf program, and it is correct. However, I still get the following error:

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Jack

Looks like the Code folder under your {EN} Narrative Report folder is somehow linked to the wrong Common\Code folder

You should see:

Opening configuration file Config.xml for skin '\{EN} Narrative Report\*  (2020.03.13)'...
Loading Dictionary.xml...
[0.00] Processing template 'bootstrap.vbs'...
[1.65] Processing template 'Code\init.htm'...
Using 'Common\Code' scripts version 2020.10.24
Report Language code 'EN' Dictionary version '2020.03.13'

Either delete {EN} Narrative Report\Code and run again or unzip updated skins into a new Skins folder and specify the new folder under Generate Report /Options tab.  I recommend the latter approach.

Yes!!

I now see the "Using 'Common\Code' scripts version 2020.10.24 "

Thank you.

However, I then get the following:

This is what the Parameter Settings look like for this problem:

GenoPro is installed in the Program Files (x86) folder, rather than in the Program Files folder in which wkhtmltopdf is installed. Might that be the issue?

Ok after further testing I find the only way I can produce this error is to first enter an invalid filename, click Generate and see the error box, then correct the filename, click Generate again and I still get the error.   Rerunning the report generation and entering the correct filename 1st time will run correctly.

However I attach an amended version of ParameterSettings.hta that should avoid this issue.  I would be grateful if you can download and unzip into your Report Skins Common\Code\ folder then test and report back here. File is zipped as GenoPro does not allow direct .hta file attachments.

Thanks,

Ron
