You CAN copy to a new/another .gno file, but not to another
GenoMap
within the same .gno. So selectand copy the required objects, then click File/New , clear the default objects from the new file and then paste your required objects.

Move to GenoMap is good, but surely we also need a Copy to GenoMap
option
as well, to leave the original untouched
Shift and move sort of does this (
creates a hyperlink
)
but if them Move
Family
it is a Move and no way to do copy
or to regenerate family on the new view
(Still feeling my way round ...)
Want one master view of everyting
then sub views (copies) of particular sections
and
another view focused on a particular furthest back relative and all their descendants
