When using the family wizard I notice that it automatically assumes a heterosexual couple with "mother/wife" and "father/husband". I would very much like to be able to input my same-sex marriage.

Also, in entering my children, the gender options I have are "male" "female" "pet" and "don't know" .  Can you please update to include non-binary gender options?

I have found that I can change the gender of a marriage partner but the fact that I had to search for this and the program defaults to a hetero marriage is very hard to digest. I prefer software that is inclsuvie from the outset. I still have not been able to locate a non-binary option for gender.

Thank you! I'm shocked that they haven't caught up with this yet and created more options for gender identity -- they're also conflating gender and sex by using male/female.

Regardless of your sexual orientation, everyone is born to a father (male) and a mother (female). Also in international and Australian research, 3-4% of the population have reported identifying as gay, lesbian or bisexual. Based on this, isn't it logical for the default to be as is?

I have a gay nephew who married his partner recently. It took me about a minute to change the "female" default to the male symbol.
