Hello,
I want to export the gonograms to a word document or excel spread sheet. Is it possible?
If it's possible, please guide me.
Thanks in advance!

🖼️ Exporting a Genogram to a Word Document

  1. Select the Genogram Area: Use the selection tool to highlight the portion of the genogram you wish to export.

  2. Copy the Selection: Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected area.

  3. Paste into Word: Open your Word document and press Ctrl + V to paste the genogram.

  4. Adjust Formatting: If necessary, resize or reposition the pasted image within Word.

This method pastes the genogram as a vector-based graphic, ensuring high quality without pixelation.

📊 Exporting Data to an Excel Spreadsheet

  1. Open Table Layout: In GenoPro, navigate to the "Table Layout" view.

  2. Select the Family: Click on the family you wish to export.EdrawMax

  3. Invert Selection: Press Ctrl + I to invert the selection.

  4. Hide Unwanted Data: Press Shift + Del to hide any data you don't wish to export.

  5. Copy Table with Header: Right-click on a table column heading and choose "Column Properties" to select the required columns. Then, right-click on a table cell and select "Copy Table with Header".

  6. Paste into Excel: Open Excel and paste the copied data.

Just to clarify, are you looking to export the visual layout of the genogram exactly as it appears on screen, or mainly the underlying data (names, dates, relationships) for further editing in Word or Excel? In my experience, copying and pasting works fine for quick use, but if you need something more structured for reporting or analysis, it might be better to check whether GenoPro offers a dedicated export (e.g., RTF, PDF, or CSV) through the File → Export menu. Have you already tried that option

Thanks for the clarification. I’m mainly trying to export the visual layout exactly as it appears on screen. Copying and pasting works for quick use, but I’ll also check the File → Export options like PDF or RTF to see if that preserves the layout better. I haven’t tried all the export options yet, so I’ll test those as well.

You could also select - part of - the Genogram on screen and then copy and paste the selection to IrfanView.
That will offer other possibilities.

Export as a metafile; Irfan will import it
