Hello
I purchased a registration key to use GenoPro in 2020. My laptop is so slow I can barely use it so I am planning to perform a factory reset. I thought that perhaps I couldn't do this as I would lose GenoPro and any saved genograms. If I backup and save my files, can I move them back and be able to access them? My main question is, after the factory reset, will I be able to reinstall GenoPro and use the same Registration Key again?

You can perform a factory reset without losing GenoPro or your genogram data, if you backup your genogram files first. After the reset, you can reinstall GenoPro and use the same Registration Key again. Just make sure to keep your key and backup your data safe before resetting.

If you are worried about loosing your GenoPro data you should use the online backup - from the file menu, or Ctrl+Shift+O.

You should be fine in most cases. As long as you back up your genogram files, you can restore them after the factory reset and continue working without issues. Regarding the license, most software like GenoPro allows you to reuse your registration key on the same machine after reinstalling, especially if it’s tied to you as the user rather than the system state. After the reset, just reinstall the software and enter your key again. If the license has activation limits, you might need to deactivate it first (if possible) or contact support—but generally, for a reset on the same laptop, it shouldn’t be a problem.
