If you generate Narrative Reports for which you requested to "remove all living individuals" (see GenoPro / Generate Report / Privacy") you may still see some pictures of living people showing in the list of children on their family page.

For example, if you selected the following options

you will notice that these individuals are no longer present in the list of individuals of the web report and hence can not be selected.

However, it is still possible that one of their pictures is displayed in the  list of children of their family.  It seems that this is only the case if (1) the individual has more than one picture listed in his picture properties AND (2) if the "prime picture" is not the first one in the list of pictures.

For now, moving the prime picture all the way up in the list of pictures should solve the issue.

Enjoy the end of the year.

I can confirm that this is a the case.  It is a bug in GenoPro's Report Generator when filtering the data to apply the privacy settings.

I too ran a test and compared the XML created by the Report Generator with XML from the source .gno.

If the Primary picture is the first in the list then Individual's <Pictures> tag is removed completely but this is not the case when the Primary is not first in the list

e.g. An individual with 3 pictures, with the 3rd set as Primary has this line of XML in source XML

<Pictures Primary="pic00079">pic00015, pic00016, pic00079</Pictures>

and this is converted to

<Pictures Primary="pic00079"/>

by the Report Generator, i.e. the the content of the <Pictures> tag is deleted but the Primary attribute remains.

Oddly this is different from the way GenoPro normally stores a single Primary picture. e.g.

<Pictures Primary="pic00079">pic00079</Pictures>

This difference could be used to find individuals in the filtered XML from the Report Generator where picture order needs to be changed to avoid this bug.

There is also a way to find these pictures using the table layout.

  1. In table layout (CTRL+T) select the Individuals (CTRL+N)
  2. Use column properties to add two columns: "Is Dead?" and "Picture Count"
  3. do a first sort on "Picture Count"
  4. and a second sort on "Is Dead?"
You will have to verify those individuals with "Is Dead?" unchecked (= alive) and "Picture Count" > 1
