I've been using GenoPro for about a year now and my family tree has grown quite a bit (currently around 2,000+ individuals). I'm starting to run into a layout problem where one GenoMap becomes too crowded, especially for branches with many descendants. I know GenoPro allows splitting families across multiple GenoMaps, but I'm trying to figure out the best practice for organizing large branches without making navigation confusing later. For example, what I'm considering is: Keeping the main direct lineage on one GenoMap Moving large descendant branches (like each grandparent’s descendants) to separate GenoMaps Using hyperlinks or references to connect them
My questions are: Is there a recommended way to structure GenoMaps for large trees? When moving people to another GenoMap, how do you keep the visual reference clear so users know the branch continues elsewhere? Do you typically keep couples together on the same map, or is it okay if spouses end up on different GenoMaps when trees get large?
I'd love to hear how more experienced users organize large projects in GenoPro without making the file difficult to navigate later. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Hyperlinks are the way to go. With ref your question 2 it is obvious ie your visual reference as the link shows up as blue text. There are two variations I use. Select a person and then use the select descendant icon to highlight. Right click and on that menu use Move to GenoMap and select <NewGenoMap> Another option is to select an individual and press H. This creates a duplicate which can be dragged outside the main tree and descendants added there. This can simplify a tree with many descendants but keeps things on the same page. Again the hyperlink stands out

I've struggled with this as well.
My mother comes from a set of twin villages with a highly endogamous population. I tried entering everyone on one genomap, but there were too many lines crossing over one another, so I made a separate genomap (~50 in total) for each surname with hyperlinks connecting the wives to their new "families". The challenge with this was I couldn't remember who was a descendant of which ancestral couple since 2nd and 3rd cousins were spread across multiple genomaps, and that made it very difficult to figure out who to approach for DNA testing. So my next bright idea, was to duplicate all the descendants on each genomap so I could see 2nd and 3rd cousins, but this led to issues with marriages being reported multiple times (or not at all, depending on the flag set), and not being able to pick and choose which genomaps were presented in a Report. It's either all genomaps or just one. You can't pick and choose two or three of them. So, now I'm back to one very large genomap for both villages, grouped by Surname/Ancestral couples with all their descendants listed below them and hyperlinked in multiple places across the genomap. Marriages appear in multiple places too, but only reported once in the Narrative Report. Is there anything I'm missing or haven't thought of?

What about making a copy of your complete GenoGram (the GNO file), remove all unwanted elements from the copy and run your report from what remains in the copy? Would that be a possibility?
