That's sort of what I was thinking but as you point out I would run into problems.  In this case, it is my brother who was adopted by my father and he has 3 kids and several grandchildren so I would not be able to fit that in.

I found this example (https://genopro.com/help/hyperlinks/), but it too has the same visual limitation while the hyperlinking does help:
Hyperlink of Java to her family If I decide to do as this and your image displays, can you walk me through how I do that?  When I have tried to add additional mates/children the linking never wants to stick and it keeps wanting to change requiring I keep fixing it.  I'm probably doing something wrong.  Thank you again for all your help.

I haven't considered displaying previous marriages directly above later ones - it got me thinking. I came up with this:

It has the advantage of keeping the male to the left of the female in the marriage which is the arrangement I prefer. However, it would get complicated if both children had marriages and offspring.

Thank you for your help.  I see how you're arranging it, I had not thought of it that way.  I came up with the attached screenshot.  I saw somewhere I can also add a vertical feature where the previous marriages were listed above the second marriages - if I try that what are the steps in setting that up?

Can someone guide me in how to structure the genogram to show that both my parents were married before, where my mother had a son from the previous marriage, got divorced, married my father, and my father adopted my mother's son (my brother).  It's not presenting the way I had envisioned it.  The genogram keeps wanting to display that my brother is the offspring of my father, my mother's second husband instead of her first husband.  Thanks!
