I recently found two useful features I had not noticed before.
On the Standard toolbar there is a link .... which says New Horizontal Line.
Clicking and dragging here puts a line on the display. The line has 3 points on it and clicking on either end allows it to be rotated to any angle. It can be used to create a vertical line which I have used to separate parent trees on a single Genomap
When splitting a tree the use of hyperlinks is a great way to improve visibility. The usual method moves a large part of the tree to a different Genomap. The alternative version (press H on a selected name) can be used to move a sub family away from the main tree but it is still on the same page. This also uses the standard underlined blue link.
This link can be assigned a different colour in the Display menu where you can edit the Bottom Label by clicking the left Automatic box and choosing a colour. This has to be repeated in the link.
