Hello,
I would like to download my genogram however when I try to go through the steps recommended in the tutorial videos (file, page layout) a pop up comes up telling me that I cannot "perform printer related tasks such as page setup or printing a document" without installing a printer first. I dont not have a printer and only wish to download a copy onto my computer. Can you please help me? Thank you

First setup a PDF 'printer' by selecting File / Printer Setup and choose Microsoft Print to PDF and click OK. Then proceed as per tutuorial with File / Print Layout

As far as I know you cannot "save as PDF" but you can print (a selected part of) a GenoMap to a PDF file. You only posted the top view. What does your "File / Print Setup ..." show as other options? Is it something like what is shown below?

Additionally you could consider installing the BullZip PDF printer. It allows you to generate PDF files up to format A0 (16 x A4).

Hello,
Are you using GenoPro through Wine on a Linux operating system, it seems likely from the word "CUPS" at the beginning of the path to the printer on the screenshot?
Microsoft Print to PDF cannot be used with LINUX operating systems, you need to install a CUPS Print to PDF.
This is quite easy to do, it took me less than 1 minute to install for UBUNTU.From Google:
To install the CUPS virtual PDF printer on Ubuntu, you can install the printer-driver-cups-pdf package through the terminal. This sets up a virtual printer that instantly converts any print job into a PDF document. Step 1: Install the CUPS PDF driverOpen your terminal ( Ctrl + Alt + T) and run the following command to install the driver: sudo apt update && sudo apt install printer-driver-cups-pdf
(Note: On older versions of Ubuntu, this package was simply called cups-pdf, which still acts as a shortcut.)
Step 2: Restart the CUPS service
(If needed, it worked for me after I re-started GenoPro)To make sure CUPS registers the new virtual printer module, restart the background printing service: sudo systemctl restart cups
