I'd be interested in this feature also. I have 5 genomaps, and want to show my wife and child (and the relationship lines between us) so my child can see how he is related to everyone else on each genomap.

Any progress/plans on this?

Being able to hyperlink families would be very nice, especially for large printouts (with nearly 900 individuals I have to work with multiple GenoMaps and print on A1 paper now).  One could end with a bottom row of individuals and spouses in one GenoMap and continue with a copy those same families on individual GenoMaps to provide further detail.

A bottom row with only hyperlinked individuals is no solution for me since I tend to detail only a few families further down.

Note that I only have a problem with this when preparing print outs for e.g., a family reunion.  I have had several remarks like "Why am I not on this chart whilst my cousin is on it?" and I'm somewhat tired of having to explain that they are on another map with more detail.  I did not realize people were that sensitive about it.

So, how is _FAM doing?

You are raising a good question.  Maybe GenoPro should use the tag _INDI rather than INDI for hyperlinked individuals.  If families get hyperlinked, the tag could be _FAM rather than FAM.  This way, other genealogy/gedcom software would skip those tags.

... He has the same family/marriage object on two GenoMaps, and both parents are internally hyperlinked between the two GenoMaps. Since he has two families with the same parents, one family must be marked as "Exclude from Report" otherwise the report generator will assume it is a new family or a re-marriage...

I do the same on my different GenoMaps - although there is probably a bug because it is not possible to create new "mate" link on a hyperlinked person (very strange result, I can describe it later, to go around you have to create dummy mate individuals, then delete them and link to the marriage line the hyperlinked individuals...).

Anyway as Dan sad you have to mark the new marriage as "Exclude from Report" to warn REPORT generator. Unfortunatelly in case you export all your tree in GEDCOM format (.GED) the second marriage does not disapear and the imported marriage is wrong (import of GED file tested on The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding, v.5.0.7).

Is there any other topic concerning this subject?

You may use the "exclude from report" for duplicate individuals, however it is much better to use the internal hyperlinks. If you have two identical individuals (a duplicate), you will eventually update one individual one day and another day you will update the other individual. You will end up with incoherent data where both individuals have old and new data.

Thanks for clarification of terms.

So, it means I should delete all duplicated persons within a file :? :!:

Or mark duplicates as /exclude from report/...

I'm having same problem, because some family member appear on two (or more) maps.

The internal hyperlink allow the same individual (family member) to appear on several GenoMaps, yet be counted as one individual in the report. If you have duplicate individuals (say after importing a Gedcom file), you have to delete one individual and keep/merge the deleted information with the individual having the most information.

It is what I ment... (please check the last post in conversation).
I'm having same problem, because some family member appear on two (or more) maps.
If it could be same individual with two location of appearance, report would (might) count it as one.
I know I'm not seeing the whole picture, but that's just an idea

Could situation be resolved with solution from Selection folowing internal hyperlinks!?

The link you sent is about "Selection folowing internal hyperlinks!?". What Raygers is talking about is having a family internal hyperlink rather than an indidivual internal hyperlink. Raygers sent his .gno file and I looked at it. He has the same family/marriage object on two GenoMaps, and both parents are internally hyperlinked between the two GenoMaps. Since he has two families with the same parents, one family must be marked as "Exclude from Report" otherwise the report generator will assume it is a new family or a re-marriage. Yesterday I realized this checkbox "Exclude from Report" is missing in the dialog, although the code is there.
