is there a way to show that a child was a foster child?Yes there is. DoubleClick on the line which connects the child to his parents (or click once to select the line, the press Enter or right click the line and select Properties). In the Dialog Box which opens you can select the "Pedigree Link" type. One of the is a Foster child.

i only get three options ....link as parent link as child link as adopted child
