Well, maybe some other people have talked about this, but I have not seen the messages on the phorum.

I would like to know if you have tought of giving the option to the users of having the program in their own language.

I'm sure that this special feature would spread the program really far.

Here in Spain a lot of people like making a Genealogic Tree on their family names, that's because we do not loose our surnames and we can go far enough, like me, until 1300!

If you could give the option to the users to have it their own language, a lot more people would use it... and buy it BigGrin

Well, anyway, I like the program and the improvements on the Beta version, the only change I would do, I've already told you. I would like to have the option of putting the place of birth and place of death under the name of the person. That way people would see where people have moved and where they really are from.

Thanks 4all!!

I would like to know if you have tought of giving the option to the users of having the program in their own language.

I have been thinking about having GenoPro in multiple languages since 1998.  At that time, I had little idea how to translate the software effectively.  GenoPro 2.0 will use an XML dictionary file containing the keywords to translate.

<Menus>
   <id101 T="Open File" />
   <id102 T="Save File" />
</Menus>
<Buttons>
   <id1 T="OK" />
   <id2 T="Cancel" />
</Buttons>

All the IDs will be public, so someone will be able to translate the text to any language without much extra work.  There will be other attributes such as x & y to resize or move the button somewhere else in the dialog in case the text does not fit.

Here in Spain...
