Prior to using SVG, a copy of FamilyTree.gno was loaded onto my machine when viewed through the Green Tree Icon on the html report generator. I'd like to have viewers to my web page to again be able to SAVE A COPY of the family tree to their machine (complete with all photos). Is this still possible or do we need a button in the "default.html" file?
Thanks

You can still download a copy of the .gno file by using the GenoPro icon instead of the Green Tree. This file does not contain the pictures, only pointers to them - in this case they are still on the web.

If you want family to have the original data you use, it is best to make a Cd with the .gno file, the folder of pictures and the latest copy of GenoPro.exe. This will expire as a full program after a month but will always be usable as a viewer of your data

I'd like to have viewers to my web page to again be able to SAVE A COPY of the family tree to their machine (complete with all photos).

In a few months, GenoPro will have a solution for this.  You will be able to save your family tree on the web and your relatives (or the people you invite) will be able to open the .gno file directly from the server.  This feature will work transparently as if you are editing your .gno file locally, however there will be an internal mechanism to synchronize the .gno files (and its pictures).  The pictures will be downloaded from the server to the local cache as necessary, and automatically updated when modified by someone else.

There is a bit of work to implement this feature regarding security and intelligent caching.
