Thanks for the screenshots. I can see now that it is the same as the earlier problem with display names but now showing in labels as well. I.e. Adobe SVG Viewer doesn't like comma as a decimal point. I believe the attached file will fix it. Just replace your existing genomap.svg file in your report template with this one.t also has fixes for the other two problems I mentioned earlier in this thread.

This case is different from what you described.  Text size is Extra Large, and the text label is much larger than the text.

I include a capture of the result and the settings of the text label.

Thank you.

No need for a special API Dan. SVG has a built-in ClipPath that I can easily use to achieve the required result. I will tackle this in the next couple of days.

Also if the text label in GenoPro is too small to hold all the text then text overflows the label on the SVG image instead of being clipped to the size of the text label as it is in GenoPro

Ron, would it help to have a special API (method or function) to handle this?

I am aware of a problem with text overflowing in the SVG image of a text label when size 'Small' is selected in GenoPro. Also if the text label in GenoPro is too small to hold all the text then text overflows the label on the SVG image instead of being clipped to the size of the text label as it is in GenoPro. I will produce a fix for these issues. If your problem is different from the above then please post a screenshot of the problem and indicate the 'size' value used in GenoPro for the object(s), i.e. Tiny, Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large.

I have tried  this  in Beta 15 h and it didn't work. The texts in labels are still misplaced in some cases.

In some other cases the texts are OK.

If some one can help me with this I would appreciate.

Thanks Ron, it worked a treat, so problem solvedTongue

By the way, are the 15c skins compatible with 15d if I add the new genomap.svg to them or do I need to add some other files from the 15d and if so, which?Ermm

I believe the problem is due to your 'locale' using comma as a decimal separator rather than a full stop/dot. This causes problems with Adobe's SVG Viewer but not Firefox. (By the way Firefox 1.5 upwards does not need Adobe at all, it has a built-in SVG rendering engine). I have attached a revised version of the skin template file 'genomap.svg' that you can use to replace the file from Beta 15d and try it. (rename genomap.txt back to genomap.svg after downloading). This VBScript file rounds off decimal fractions so the decimal separator isn't an issue.

V.L.o has confirmed that this file fixes his problem with the misplaced letters.

I installed Firefox and Adobe SVG viewer 6.0 to test the report generator 15d, but found the results poor and removed them and reinstalled Adobe viewer 3.0 for use with IE 6.0 and all my reports made with 15c work perfectly both on my computer and on line with very fast panning.

All reports made with 15d have the same fault and are not much better with firefox as it had overlaps and odd colored shapes with links and no text dotted here and there. Crazy

The 15c svg effects are superb and the new 15d picture sources are very usefull, so what happened to the svg codes? Blink

Would putting the svg files from the 15c skin into the 15d skin have any effect?
